Ruby is a female American Staffordshire Terrier Mix who proudly lives full-time with the men and women of Cherokee County E 9-1-1 — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She doesn’t go home with a handler at the end of the shift — she is home, right here with the dispatch team. Ruby is also proudly certified by the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen.

Ruby is pawsitively excited and endlessly grateful for her amazing Renegade supporters!

Ruby Dawn’s Gotcha Day – June 3rd

Celebrating the heart of Cherokee County E 9-1-1

Ruby Dawn is more than just a dog — she’s family. As an official member of the Cherokee County E 9-1-1 team, Ruby plays a vital role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of our dispatchers. She’s there through every shift, offering comfort, companionship, and calm during the most stressful moments.

This program helps raise funds for Ruby’s ongoing care — including her food, veterinary visits, medications, grooming, treats, toys, and other essentials that keep her healthy and happy. Up until now, her care has been generously supported by our employees and our friends at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. Your contribution helps ensure Ruby continues to bring joy and stability to those who serve our community every day.
