The C.O.R.E Team, led by Jennifer Lasenyik a 9-1-1 Call Taker, are critical educators and ambassadors for your 9-1-1 Center and Public Safety. They are dedicated to fostering a safer, more informed community by teaching citizens young and older how to use 9-1-1 effectively and strengthening local relationships in our community.

Cherokee County 911 Foundation Launches the Blakey Education Grant to Support Continued Learning for Public Safety Professionals

At the conclusion of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2025, the Cherokee County E9-1-1 Department hosted a reception on April 18 to celebrate the outstanding contributions of its team members. During the event, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation proudly announced the establishment of the Blakey Education Grant—a new initiative created to support the educational pursuits of Cherokee County E9-1-1 employees.

Georgia House and Cherokee County Honor Cherokee County 911 Foundation with Proclamation Day

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — In a historic recognition of its unique mission and impact, the Cherokee County 911 Foundation has been honored as the first public safety nonprofit organization in Georgia solely dedicated to 911 operations. In celebration of this distinction, the Georgia House of Representatives and the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners officially proclaimed April 14, 2025, as Cherokee County 911 Foundation Day.
