Katie was born and raised in Cherokee County and has dedicated her life to strengthening the community that shaped her. She currently serves as the Business Development Officer for Coosa Valley Credit Union, where she builds meaningful relationships and fosters
economic growth across the region. Katie, her husband Steven, and their two daughters proudly call Canton, Georgia home.
Katie’s passion for service is reflected in her extensive civic involvement. She has held leadership roles across numerous organizations, including serving as Board Member and President of the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation, Vice President of the Sheriff
Frank Reynolds Charities Foundation, Board member of Friends of Holly Springs Police Foundation, Board Member of the Cherokee YMCA, Treasurer of the SECBN Board, and member of the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Board. She has also chaired both Leadership
Cherokee and the Reinhardt Cherokee Scholars Program.
An active member of the Rotary Club of Canton, Katie contributes her time to the Youth Services Committee, helping to shape the next generation of leaders. Her dedication and impact have earned her recognition as one of Cherokee County’s “Top 10 in 10 Young
Professionals” and the “Tessa Basford Community Service Award”.
Katie believes that true leadership begins with service. She views community involvement not just as a responsibility, but as a privilege—an opportunity to uplift others, create lasting change, and honor the legacy of those who came before. Her work is driven
by a deep belief that strong communities are built through compassion, collaboration, and consistent engagement.
