ADOPT A DISPATCHER FOR NATIONAL PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK!

The Cherokee County Emergency Communications Center (Cherokee E911) is excited to announce its 3rd Annual Adopt a Dispatcher event in celebration of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW) is held annually during the second week of April (April 13-19, 2025) to honor public safety telecommunicators for their commitment, service, and sacrifice (cisa.gov).

We invite you to join us in showing appreciation by “adopting” one of our dedicated dispatchers. Email adoptadispatcher@gmail.com and include your name, contact number, and how many dispatchers you’d like to adopt.

Participants will receive emailed information on their dispatcher to assist in creating a care package, basket, or any other gifts of appreciation. “This is an opportunity for the public to show just how much we appreciate our dispatchers. I would encourage individuals, families, and businesses to consider participating. Our dispatchers are our first line of communication when we need help. Their dedicated service to our community is to be recognized” says Lori Flink, President of the Cherokee County 911 Foundation.

The deadline to adopt a dispatcher and drop off gifts is April 11, 2025.

For more information and to adopt a dispatcher today, email adoptadispatcher@gmail.com

Cherokee County 911 Foundation is a not for profit organization designed to support, advocate, and advance Cherokee County E 9-1-1.
